The unique decor and motif of the Indiana Roof Ballroom has made it a coveted choice for a multitude of events. Located on the 6th floor of the Indiana Repertory Theatre Building, it was originally built in 1927 for ballroom dancing and was completely restored in 1986. Just this year, The Roof is completing another restoration and update throughout! With the new, beautiful interior it is no doubt that the Indiana Roof Ballroom will be the premiere special events venue in Indianapolis for years to come.

The Ballroom is styled after the courtyard of a European village. The 15,700-square-foot facility includes a 3,000-square-foot bar/reception area, which showcases an ornate Italian bar. The 8,700-square-foot ballroom floor is encircled by a 2,500-square-foot promenade area and overlooked by a 1,500-square-foot balcony area. The ballroom design consists of ornate arches leading onto the ballroom floor. The elliptical ballroom floor is constructed of one-inch maple strips spiraling out from the center to the edge and is cushioned and isolated from the theatre below. Above is a domed night sky complete with twinkling stars and moon. The Roof also boasts state of the art sound and lighting systems operated by our experienced production staff. And, our an award winning culinary team and superior service staff can customize any menu to your taste and give you and your guests a dining experience like no other!
