DAY 1
- At White River State Park, walk along the beautiful Canal or rent surrey bikes or pedal boats for a relaxing journey on the serene water. Stop and remember those we honor at the U.S. Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial where you can hear the recipients’ stories in their own words or find the USS Indianapolis Memorial and see the story of the sinking of this World War II ship
- Reflect with one of America’s great authors at the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library. The Slaughterhouse-Five and Breakfast of Champions author was born and raised in Indy and his library shares glimpses of his life, literary career and the whimsical artwork he created
- For a quiet lunch in a beautiful setting, visit the Villa Inn - Restaurant - Spa, located in the historic Old Northside of Indianapolis. This beautiful old home is now a bed and breakfast and spa offering outstanding dining inside and outside on the patio

- Take a scenic tour on a stunning paddle wheel boat operated by the Broad Ripple Boat Company and cruise the White River through this lively cultural district and along the wooded waterway
- Next, learn about wine making at Easley Winery or at New Day Meadery. Both offer insightful tours, wine tastings and gift shops allowing guests to take home an award-winning vintage from Indiana
- Visiting the Fountain Square Cultural District is a delightful close to an afternoon where you can hobnob with locals and find treasures along the way.
