Located directly across Meridian Street from the Circle Centre mall, the Hampton Inn downtown is housed in the nine-story Chesapeake Building, a beautifully restored historic structure originally constructed in 1929 to serve as a headquarters for the Big Four Railroad.
In additional to a complimentary hot breakfast buffet, all rooms offer high-speed internet and free local calls (in addition to such tangible features as pillowtop mattresses, an iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer). Suites with two rooms (and whirlpool baths, yet) are available. The hotel also offers meeting rooms with a 100-person capacity).
