In addition to some high-piled, fresh-sliced sandwiches (corned beef, turkey, tongue (yes, tongue), etc.), this kosher deli has the BEST macaroni and cheese since my grandma's. I would come close to selling my soul for that stuff. Don't skip dessert--it's displayed at the front of the cafe line--and don't come expecting Subway prices.

Shapiro's by far is the best deli I have ever been to. Outstanding sandwiches, desserts and more. My pick - pastrami on rye with mustard and mayo. Trust me when I say you won't be able to finish it, no matter how hungry you may be. It's also no accident that the desserts are first when you pass through the line at the deli counter...
