Easily Indy's best new restaurant. I felt like I was in South Beach. It makes me proud to have a restaurant of this caliber in Indianapolis. Try the Short Rib!!!

I wondered how the newly renovated "SI Restaurant & Lounge" could possibly make me feel any more special than the "Alice in Wonderland" feeling I used to get when eating there prior. Well let's just say compared to feeling two feet tall in the high-back chairs and ocean colors, the new SI Restaurant & Lounge makes me feel all grown up. The setting is very intimate and elegant with a plethora of draping colors and darker decor. With all the hallways and turns there really is not a high traffic seat in the house where one's meal might be interrupted. Having an upscale menu I feared that once again I would succumb to receiving a dish that looks too fancy to eat and too small to fill me up. Pleasantly surprised I was to find that while the food is definitely "art on a plate" the portions are some of the largest I've seen at this type of fine dining. I ordered the roasted chicken and my date ordered the pork and we both devoured our meals. We finished with the parfait and were set for the night. Sometimes fixing up a place that no one necessarily had a problem with prior can be scary...but this was an excellent upgrade indeed!

Very customer friendly beginning with reservations. Asked about after dinner plans (to alert waiter and kitchen for time concerns). Service was wonderful and caring. The food was delicious and cooked to order. Soup and salad were very good. The apple dessert will end your diet! Great place to change the pace up when dining out.

Not the same type of food as the Broad Ripple Scholars Inn at all! Check out their calamari appetizer; it is easily the best in Indy!
