Live some history! Journey back to long ago and experience how life has changed. Travel to an Indian camp, pioneer village, Victorian farm, more hands-on areas, Discovery Station indoor play and learning area (ages 2 and up) and a historic house and gardens.
New for 2009 was the 1859 Balloon Voyage in which guests explore the science and technology behind this "flying machine" and the history of ballooning in America. The exhibit culminates in the opportunity to ascend to 350 feet high in a tethered, helium filled balloon that recreates the maiden voyage of John Wise, a scientific pioneer in the exploration of manned flight.
Conner Prairie's annual events include Follow the North Star (April, Nov.), Indiana Festival (June), Marsh Symphony on the Prairie with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (June-Sept.), Glorious Fourth (July), Country Fair (Sept.), Headless Horseman (Oct.). Excellent Family Activity
We had an excellent family experience at Conner Prairie!! I suggest you relax, take your time and take advantage of all of the special activities and exhibitions offered throughout the day. The new Discovery Station for the young ones is a wonderful addition to this fun and educational attraction!

Fantastic Family Fun
I was pleasantly surprised by my recent visit to Conner Prairie. Not knowing what to expect I left there ready to go back again. Everyone was so friendly - from the admission desk to the "characters" to the gift store staff. My family had a wonderful time experiencing the lives of the different periods and villages. The exhibits and the people made it a wonderful experience.
