The Circle City touts a barrage of music venues—from intimate stages where bands like the Rolling Stones and Elton John have played, to a mega stadium with the likes of Kenny Chesney.

  1. Klipsch Music Center: Just 30 minutes north of downtown, this is the most active performance center, offering more than 30 shows annually like Dave Matthews Band, Rascal Flatts and Jimmy Buffett.

  5. Slippery Noodle Inn: As a go-to spot for visiting celebrities, this historic venue has been praised by the likes of Rolling Stone as one of the top blues bars in the nation.
  6. Murat Theatre: With an Egyptian facade and unique decor, this intimate and charming theater is located in the Mass Ave cultural district.
  7. Clowes Hall: On the campus of Butler University. Indiana-native John Mellencamp loves this place and so will you.
  8. Hilbert Circle Theatre: Home to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, this venue also hosts additional classical performances.
  9. Radio Radio: Located in Fountain Square in a small box setting, Indie-Indy bands come into the spotlight and keep this joint rocking.
  10. Vogue: Catch big acts before they get big like James Morrison, Better than Ezra and Augusta in this movie house turned club, smoke-free venue.
