![]() | Music for All: Bands of America Grand Nationals and Percussive Arts Society International Convention Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indiana Convention Center November 11-14 The Music for All Grand National Championship is recognized as the pinnacle of events for the nation's marching band activity. The Grand National Championship bands are at the leading edge of the activity, breaking new grounds in creativity and levels of excellence. With performances by 90 bands from across the nation, exhibition performances and special events, Grand Nationals is widely acknowledged by the band world to be the most exciting and prestigious marching band event. The three-day event also includes an Expo, Student Leadership Workshop, Celebrate America event, the Indianapolis Public Schools Marching Band Tournament and other special events and clinics. The grand opening of the new Percussive Arts Society museum will coincide with the convention. Interactive, hands-on exhibits will allow visitors to play instruments and examine percussion artifacts from around the world. |

![]() | Veterans Day Memorial Service and Parade Indiana War Memorial November 11 This annual parade will take place to honor area military veterans. The memorial service will be conducted from 11-11:30 a.m. at the War Memorial. Veterans Day Parade through downtown Indianapolis will be 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The parade starts at Michigan and Pennsylvania Sts., heads south on Pennsylvania St. to New York St., west on New York St. to Meridian St., then north on Meridian St. to St. Clair St. Come out and support our local Indiana Veterans! |
![]() | Heroes from the Heartland Indiana State Museum November 1-11 During this time there will be free museum admission for Veterans and immediate families will receive a group rate. A veteran's photo display comprised of 300 photographs of service personnel is the focal point of 11 days recognizing and celebrating the men and women in uniform from across our state. Daily programming will include demonstrations, by military personnel and a special tribute on Sunday, Nov. 8, "Veterans Day Remembered," featuring the Indianapolis Municipal Band. |

![]() | Indianapolis Colts Lucas Oil Stadium October 4-January 3 Exciting National Football League action takes place at the new Lucas Oil Stadium. Watch Peyton Manning and the team set new records. The atmosphere is electric in downtown Indy before a home Colts game. Head to Lucas Oil Stadium for the new Fan Zone, a pre-game party area for fans of all ages. The Fan Zone offers a variety of games for kids and adults, including: Quarterback Throw, Tower Climb, Football Bouncer, face painters and more! The Tailgate Tent, also available in the area, includes a full pre-game tailgate menu. In addition, The Colts Retail Express Trailer and the Colts In Motion traveling museum are on site. As if that's not enough, live entertainment will always take to the outdoor stage to help get the party started. |

All but two of their home games are on a weekend evening, making it easy to enjoy an affordable and family-friendly hockey game! Three Alumni from the Indiana Ice have been drafted to the NHL and they are the Clark Cup National Champions for 2009! |
